I don't think Russia is any more or less justified in stepping in than the US was for stepping in in Iraq. (which, yeah, i DON'T think they were justified, but they got no business criticizing Russia for doing what they did, either)

But when I moved up "north" to South Carolina, most people called it "soda". Pop seems to be the word my inlaws, who are midwestern, use for it.
